The Game "DarkBlade" is a second Edition AD&D Game set in an Island community. The Island is called Nexus. Nexus City is the largest city with a population of about 50,000 people.

The Game "DarkBlade" centers around a demon inhabited Sword which has been in existence for eons. At the time the game begins the weapon is wielded by Michael Dark a former lieutenant of Nexus Cities largest and most powerful Thieves Guild. At that time the Guild leadership consisted of Eight high ranking members called the Band of the "Silver Hand". Michael Dark was one of the Silver Hands most trusted Lieutenants; a prominent and rising member of the Guild of Thieves; however, he was unsatisfied with his position as lieutenant. He wanted it all. Nothing shy of complete and utter control of the Guild was his goal. So, he conspired to murder the Band of the "Silver Hand".  Of course being chaotic, each member of the Band of the "Silver Hand" was also (each in their own way) scrambling for ultimate leadership of the Guild as well. However, Dark struck first, ordering his most trusted (best paid) minions to assassinate each of the Eight leaders of the Guild on the same night of terror. His minions were very successful, but not completely so, as two of the Eight leaders survived that night.  Unfortunately for Michael Dark, one of the survivors was none other than the Mistress of the Guild. Natasha Cloud, a very dangerous person to be an enemy of. The other survivor is perhaps even more dangerous than Cloud. A dark creature who had been mostly only rumor to most folk. Few had ever even seen him (or her?) and fewer still were left alive to boast of the meeting.

This Island, that is one to two days sailing due West from the Island of Nexus (in normal calmed seas). This island is thought to be the current location of Arch Villain Michael Dark and his Minions.
