Aneoth
I am a long time player of D&D and AD&D and I was once (Not too long ago) a Dungeon Master for some games and a Moderator of the Nexus City Web Site. As such, I was often able to introduce new players to the realm of Fantasy Gaming and also to the relatively new idea of "On-Line" Gaming via a Message Board System. I no longer do that so much anymore, as time has caught up with me and I am far more busy with my Professional Career. This is not to say that I will not still play a pick-up Table-Top game if I get the chance though.

The reason for this Web Site
This Site is dedicated to the continued enjoyment of playing a Role-Playing Game called Advanced Dungeons and Dragons and Dungeons and Dragons (AD&D and D&D). It is a game through which Fantasy comes to life (Though not literally) and becomes more than just a story to read, to tell or to hear. You, at least for a short time, get to become someone else and dwell in a far different world. Gone are the worries of Corporate America, Germany, England, Australia and the other countries where people abound and are often chained to a desk for life.

You don't always need to be chained thus, as the many worlds of D&D can and will give you a temporary escape from that day-to-day drudgery. The worlds of D&D can be anything you want them to be, or more to the point, anything that the Game Master wants it to be. The Game Master/Dungeon Master (GM/DM) is the controller, the storyteller, the narrator, and the person who runs the technical aspects of the world the game is set inside of.

The Player Characters (PCs) are the "Fantasy Creatures" who are "Role-Played" in the Games, by you as the Player of the Game, the Characters can be almost any sorts of creatures that you have ever heard of, so long as the GM will allow it. Elves, Dwarves, Humans, orcs, Halflings, Hobbits, and many other Fantasy Creatures from myths, legends, children's stories, fantasy books and other sources, enough so that only your own imagination will limit the many possibilities.

If you have found this site by accident or as the result of Surfing and are now interested in either learning more or are thinking of playing the Game of D&D "On-Line" and want to know more, then please send me E-Mail.

A couple of Sites to visit that are D&D related:
These sites deal with "On-Line" role-playing Games that are played in a "Message Board" format, and both are mostly for games that are D&D related, however the second Site listed supports Star Wars Role-Playing Games that are played in a "Message Board" format as well.

roleplayinggames.net

This site will allow me to post and store pictures and other images and also to make them more easily available to the players of the D&D games that I run for them created this Web Page. A good place to visit is nexuscity.net as it is a living City designed for "Role-Playing" in the D&D environment. Go there and ask for Aneoth. Another site is roleplayinggames.net it is the parent site for the Nexus City Site.

The Guild of the Silver Hand
The Nexus City Thieves Guild consists of many thieves and other class characters who think they can live from the toils of others. This is a common way of thinking in the City of Nexus and so the Guild of the Silver Hand has a rather large following. At last count the City had a Population of approximately 50-60 thousands souls. While the Thieves Guild represented about one percent of that number, though the exact number is impossible for an outsider to truly guess.

You don't always need to be a thief to become a member of the Silver Hand. In fact some of the most powerful members of the Guild are not even members of the Thief Class. One such Guild Member is the Guilds Master-at-Arms Karl, a male human fighter. He is also the bodyguard of the Mistress of the Guild and is most often seen either with her, and if not then then on some mission for her. Another such member is Mina, a Priestess of Rudd, the Goddess of Luck, Chance, Con artists and Thieves. The Mistress of the Guild itself is none other than the owner of Cloud Enterprises, Natasha Cloud, who is known by most in the City as a Shop owner (Cloud's Shop, in the Emerald District) and a Mage. Few know of her involvement in the Guild outside the Guild itself, and that is how she prefers it to remain.

The Minataurian Mayor (Jihad) of the City of Nexus might and likely does know she is the Mistress of the Guild, but if so, he does not let on about that knowledge.

For the most part the Guild is non-chaotic and also non-violent and it allows the City to run as it will, taking only enough from its citizens to sustain an equilibrium in the City. The Guild does not want total control of the City and so allows the government to work unmolested and even at times the Guild will help to do things the government needs to do, hoping to maintain the status of the City as it currently is.
